Avni Nautiyal

Writer, Dancer, Youth Advocate

Hi, I’m Avni Nautiyal, a 17-year-old high school senior at Oberoi International School, JVLR, Mumbai. I have always been interested in combining my work and my passions to blend creativity and purpose, whether it is through contributing to, heading, and editing my school magazine, performing as a Bharatnatyam dancer, or advocating for social change.

I have a deep interest in history, economics, mathematics, political science, philosophy, and global affairs, and am deeply committed to creating spaces where young people and women can share their stories, gain opportunities, and shape the future they deserve.

"What impressed me most was your ability to identify an overlooked demographic and engage seriously with complex academic concepts while maintaining awareness of your own perspective as a young person navigating these digital spaces. Your research demonstrates genuine intellectual curiosity and the capacity to build meaningfully on existing scholarship - you've clearly engaged deeply with foundational work in the field, and your reflexivity about your own position shows mature analytical thinking. Your ability to synthesize materials from privacy law, child protection, and data governance reflects serious scholarly engagement that goes well beyond what one typically expects at the high school level."
